I have nothing to do with the board or the election process, but I think previous board needs sincere, if depressed, kudos for reacting the only way they ethically could to an absolutely unacceptable situation, even though it means that you newly elected board members are now inheriting a messy situation without their much-needed wisdom and experience.
I hope that in the future, things are decided more fairly and in accordance to the actual rules as well as moral and ethical guidelines. From what I read of the board meeting that ended in those resignations, those things were lacking in abundance, and I find it is sadding and discouraging that people who clearly put a lot of their time and best effort were rewarded in an entirely unacceptable way. If it were me, I would have quit, too. :/
Here's hoping that a lesson is learned from this disagreeable situation and outcome.
We know that it was a hard decision, and we are also grateful the 2015 Board chose to handle the situation as gracefully as possible. Both Atiya and I will do our best to live up to everyone's expectations.
