But Teyvatians, who in fact do not need saving, are so done with their efforts to invade their land and decide to teach them a lesson.

In Aether’s absence, Kinich curls the hand he was holding moments ago into a loose fist, like he can protect the memory of the sensation from being washed away. His face feels hot. Ajaw is right, he has grown soft.
And how dangerous that is- if Aether truly is an usurper of the Primordial of Light and Forward, then there is only one way this ends. Two, technically, and neither are good to him.There is only one way for him to complete his contract with Ajaw, and that is to use the Primordial of Light to restore his former power. If Aether holds that power, then to release it is to break him.
Aether finds himself tossed into a new world after 'dying' in teyvat, and as he learns a whole new system of existence- hey, his wings are back!- someone else has to figure out why a God went missing, and why Her power is in Aether's blood.
