    Summary

I assure you it was not in my plans to find myself, on the night of Madeline Bassett's wedding to the abominable Spode (round two), dressed in a skirt and clinging to the wall outside the window of her nuptial chamber of bliss. Had I been given the choice, I would have greatly preferred to be in the deepest jungles of Borneo, but alas, circumstances did not permit such luxury.

    Summary

A crossover series set in Genteel Interbellum England, where Bertie Wooster, Jeeves, Poirot, and Hastings keep stumbling into romantic misunderstandings, criminal entanglements, and inconvenient feelings while growing into two partnerships.

Some of the fics are casefics, some are not, but they are all romantic comedy mixed with feelings and some canon divergencies here and there.

    They're loosely in chronological order.

⚠️ You don't need to worry about any series-wide cliffhangers.

⚠️ I've marked the series complete but that doesn't mean I won't write more for it, it's just there's a very nice little Bertie/Jeeves arc that develops throughout it.

⚠️ I strongly recommend starting with Fateful Soiree at Brinkley Court because that's like, the starting point of this whole series and the rest of it might not make much sense if you don't read that one. In general, newer stories contain spoilers or carry over character development from the older ones.

    Summary

Suddenly Bertie’s a very selfish person. Suddenly he doesn’t want to think about a Games where he didn’t call out to Jeeves. Maybe this is all there is to their lives now: a tiny damp cave, bloodied bandages, and love. Maybe it’s like that allegory. He’d ask Jeeves when he awakens.

For now, he continues petting Jeeves’s sleeping head, watching his chest slowly rise and fall, matching the lilt. If he sings something, he hopes he’s quiet enough.

    --

To the Capitol, the Hunger Games are an honour, a spark of hope that must be contained, a spectacle. To the Districts, they are a death sentence, a televised execution in a manufactured setting.

But for the first time in history, for Bertie and Jeeves to find and keep each other, they have to be more than that. They have to be a performance. They have to be a love story.

    Summary

Jeeves gives the impression of being something of a singularity, as though he simply materialized into being one day as the perfect valet and hasn't changed since. But, of course, he must come from somewhere, as Wooster gradually discovers. Along the way, he also gains a little insight into why a marvel like Jeeves would work for a chap like him.

When you're done with Jeeves and Wooster's story, check out the rest of the Designation: H series for more of this AU highlighting the rest of the cast (particularly Holmes and Watson), including some answers and a few more appearances by Jeeves and Wooster.

    Summary

A soiree goes horribly awry at Brinkley Court. While Poirot is on the case, Bertie tries to play cupid and reattach severed threads of fate, even if it would cost him everything.
Meanwhile, Hastings grapples with the past looming between himself and Jeeves.

Extremely slowburn, lots and lots of pining and meaningful glances and some Wodehousian humor. There's a light whodunit there too.

I thrashed about in my assailant’s arms with great vigour, and was about to let loose a rather dignified “Unhand me at once!” or alternatively a frightened yelp, when a large hand was clasped over my mouth.

    “Quiet, sir!”

While fleeing Roderick Spode, Bertie is pulled into an alcove by an unknown assailant. The attacker very quickly becomes known to him.

    Summary

Bertie meets a young Agatha Christie and hits it off with her at a garden party. She even offers to let him read and comment on her latest manuscript, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, before she posts it to her publisher. Of course, mayhem ensues when the manuscript is stolen and Jeeves and Bertie must find and return it to the rightful owner. Mix in a dash of danger, anger, angst, and unrequited feeling, and it's the perfect storm for 'certain whatsits' to come to light.

    Summary

My take on a missing scene from s03e06 after Bertie is struck twice over the head by Roderick Spode.

I also have to confess that returning from the States had unsettled me. There is a certain level of freedom in New York, and without the pressures of class and judgement it is far too easy to indulge in various liberties. However, back in England the idea of sitting by your employer’s side to play the left or indeed righthand part of a new jazz piece, or spending time with him in a diner enjoying a spot of lunch, it was simply unheard of.

Jeeves deal with the panic after he allows Bertie to become seriously injured during one of his schemes.

    Summary

"Like Icarus, I had flown too close to the sun and had only my inevitable plunge into the storm-tossed sea awaiting me. Mr. Wooster, seeing my faults, my melted wings of wax, would tire of me and find another more worthy of his praise and ardor."

Jeeves’s attempt to rescue Bertie from a hedge maze goes awry, leaving the two stranded, and the chaps start to see each other in a new light.
