"Rolling over, she grabbed her phone off the nightstand and toggled the camera. Sitting up slightly, she could capture a good photo of Johnny sleeping peacefully in the morning light.
It was a gesture decidedly unlike her, something she had in fact glowered at Johnny for before. He was always the one with his phone in his hand capturing candid shots: her on the treadmill, walking on the beach, even at the range with her rifle in hand. She, on the other hand, was a bastion of privacy, and that’s what she was capturing. A private moment, something she could look at when she was feeling alone, or hopeless. Something to remind her that she had someone to come home to. It was an age-old tradition for soldiers to carry pictures of their sweethearts; this was the modern version.
With his tousled hair and a dusting of dark stubble across his cheeks, he looked so real, so good, that it made her heart constrict. It was easy to walk out into the world and plan to save it. It was even easier to forget that a large part of her world was here in bed. In the end, home was her last stop of the day, and the best part of it would always be that Johnny was there, waiting for her."

Nuova fanfiction AU! L'idea di calare i personaggi di City Hunter in un contesto ospedaliero è da molto che ce l'ho ma non ho mai trovato l'input giusto. Avendo vissuto la realtà del reparto di Medicina Interna come infermiera, molti dei dettagli o spunti o battute non sono del tutto inventati ma un misto anche con la realtà. CONTESTO: Ryo, Kaori e Mick sono infermieri nel reparto di Medicina Interna dove la guardia giurata Hayato Ijuin viene ricoverato dal post chirurgico. Nonostante sia una AU ho cercato di mantenere il più possibile la caratterizzazione dei personaggi. Spero di esserci riuscita. Come sempre, se volete, commentate e buona lettura!
