A pleased sigh escaped Frankenstein as he left his bedroom. It was his first day off for this set of holidays, and although the break had started three days ago, most of that time was spent doing paperwork from the school and all the check-ups for his family. He’d taken the time to clean the house again last night once everyone had gone to bed, so today should finally be his first free day.
Thoughts of his lab passed through Frankenstein’s head as his feet took him down the familiar path. I ought to do my own lab work today, he thought. A scan first and some blood work. Not that the results should be much different from last time, but it was always important to check. Maybe cleaning first, checking over some of the machines, and seeing what improvements would need to be started on tomorrow. His mind was turning with what he could do.
It had only been thirty minutes, in which he had been busy cleaning up the biscuit machine, when M-21 came into the lab...
