One of the best things about having a family, in his humble opinion, is that the only work-related activity going on in his home is shit-talking his foreman to his wife. Who in their right mind would want to live with someone they work with?
So, the running theory in Igor's mind is that Dan is a co-founder of some kind of cult. It would explain the eclectic decorating choices as well, if the purpose is to confuse and disorient whoever steps foot in his house to make them more susceptible to being persuaded.
