Summary
First off, Yoichi Isagi would like to clear up the misunderstanding that he was not, in fact, following mindlessly after a literal white rabbit. He’s an athlete, not an idiot.
But logic matters very little when you’re currently face-down in the dirt at the bottom of a fairytale abyss.
Isagi is dropped headfirst into a dark-fantasy wonderland straight out of a bedtime story. A world of tyrannical rules, lavish crimson thrones, and a casual fondness for public executions. But the real, soul-crushing nightmare begins when Isagi looks at the people holding the guillotines.
The main casts were replaced by his teammates. His teammates. A league of hyper-competitive, literally armed with a bomb, egoists who don't give a damn about a fairytale script and would gladly take his head off just to win an argument.
Trapped in a plot that is actively derailing because everyone in it is a psychopath, Isagi realizes there is only one way back to reality. Force the plot forward.
The curtain is up, the stakes are accidentally lethal, and Isagi is about to find out exactly how hard it is to play along when your costar really wants you dead.
