Piers’ jaw makes an awful, wet, snapping sound as it detaches on one side of his face, hanging limply from the other side. Still, he keeps speaking, repeating the same thing over and over as his body progressively falls apart, decomposing before Chris’ eyes. His skin loses its elasticity, drooping downward like sludge to reveal that even his bones are twisted and mangled out of shape. And still, he keeps speaking without his lips, or tongue, or vocal cords.
