A non-linear humanstuck AU focused mainly on Gamzee and Tavros, their relationship with each other, and their relationship with their other friends.
Gamzee left town without warning years ago. Eventually he was picked up by a carnival and worked as a carnie until a chance encounter puts him back in touch with Karkat, Tavros, and his other old friends.
Now Gamzee has decided to move back to town and has a lot of things on his plate when it comes to getting his life on track, confronting old mistakes, and getting back in touch with family.
Tavros is a veterinary student who's done a fair share of growth over the years. He navigates the world and his personal relationships differently now and he's got his own collection of experiences to share as he and Gamzee rediscover their friendship and grow closer.

It is nearly dark when it happens. Keyleth is walking home, a drizzle starting, making her pull her coat tighter around her and walk a little bit faster. The streets are nearly empty; only one other person is with her, walking a bit behind her at a leisurely pace. She isn’t concerned; she has the knife Vax gave her, and her pepper spray, and she’s gotten pretty good at hand to hand combat because of Grog. Besides, many of her friends are just a literal shout away – she’ll be fine.
They’re probably not actually following her either, she just has some anxiety issues she’s working on.
