She didn’t know if she was reminding herself or reminding Santos about their arrangement.
“I know we did… just wanted to make sure you didn’t mean–”
“I was tired and tipsy and you made me come not even thirty seconds before that. I wasn’t exactly in the sharpest state of mind,” Garcia cut off, not unkindly. “Let’s not make this a big deal.”

Summary
The war had ended and Sirius finds himself washed ashore in a world he was not ready for.
He was not ready for the war to be over- it had hardly just begun when he had fallen through the Veil.
He was not ready for his friends to be gone, died in battles he had never fought.
He was not ready for Snape to be seen as a hero, posthumously, in his godson's eyes.
But suspicions exist that Snape had not died in the war. Sent on the task to bring him back to face trial, Sirius relishes the opportunity to finally have focus- a mission of his own: bringing Snape to face justice for all his war time crimes.
There was no other reason for Sirius to be hunting Snape.
No other reason at all.

Summary
The war had ended, life went on.
Severus, fully committed to a quiet life away from the remnants of war and the enemies he had made, finds his fragile peace threatened by the return of a man he had refused to grieve, refused to allow himself to think about. He didn't want to remember the freezing cold night in Forbidden Forest, the man's pathetic attempt at a rescue mission. He didn't want to think about the spiral he fell into in the following days. He certainly did not want to remember his body against his own. Given the chance, he would focused on his private potion brewing but his name was now bad business and work was growing thin. Remus' visits had once upon a time provided him with a distraction and the minimal human connection he could tolerate, but now, instead of sharing news of his hospitalised wife he spent far too much time talking about the man he did not want to believe had come back.A story that explores second chances.
