Sukuna huffed, “My eyes are up here, brat.”
At last, shaded amber eyes found his own with laser focus, just a moment before he seemingly processed the words. His cheeks flushed darker in mortified shame, quickly followed by a hasty snarl that bared his pitiful blunt teeth.
“I don’t know what you mean, you bastard.” he spat out, tone uneven. He held Sukuna’s unimpressed, barely amused gaze for a few more seconds before angry humiliation appeared to overwhelm him, breaking eye contact as he looked off to the side with gritted teeth.
Well.
They’d never said the brat had to take him in a fight.
Yuuji and Sukuna negotiate the terms of Yuuji’s revival. The wording of the challenge is just a little different, and Sukuna’s original form comes out to play. Those… those are some very big arms. And thighs. And pecs… what were they doing again?

All eyes in the Fragrance Hall turned to Wei Wuxian, who was standing nonchalantly in the middle of the room, hands bound with qi-suppressing cuffs. He seemed entirely too relaxed.
“You forgot Wen Zhuliu.” He drawled carelessly, slouching and shifting his weight onto one leg in a move that in any other context, many of the ladies present would have called sassy. “I’m pretty sure he’s also dead.”

Vergil had research to do in Fortuna, tomes to dig up, power to obtain. Too bad his Fortuna Library contact had happened to, in the intervening years, have a baby, lose custody of said baby, be disowned, set a bush on fire, and vanish.
Such gossip would have been of very little concern to him, had the timing of said baby's conception not coincided with their, ahem, short yet intense acquaintance. The child is probably not his, but. He'll track it down. Just. Just to make sure.
He is certainly keeping his wits and not freaking out at all.
