    Everyone leaves eventually. Or at least, everyone leaves Creek eventually. It’s been happening as long as he can remember, and he wouldn’t be surprised if the pattern continues. He’s started to anticipate it.

     

    This is a rewrite of my now two year old fic titled "Fragments of Who You've Become" which is also a sequel/spinoff to RedactedCringe's fic "Remnants of Who You Used to Be". is this adequately convoluted. You aren't going to understand this if you haven't read their fic but you should not read my old fic it remains up ONLY because I value archival.

    Poppy, vampire Princess of Pop, has only known the dull and colorless world around her.     Four brothers are left on the steps of a children's home in the middle of the night. One by one each of the brothers are adopted apart for the oldest. JD is left alone and totally bereft. A kind foster family take him on to try and improve his 'condition'. Despite their best efforts his depression persists. A few years later the Applesons take on another troubled grey child.

    The pair soon discover they share an unspoken understanding of what it is to be grey. They become virtually inseparable.

    However when the opportunity comes giving JD a chance to seek out his scattered brothers, will he risk this 'Grey Bond' he has formed with Branch, who may be more than just his 'foster' brother?

    Summary

    It's been 3 years since his parents and grandpa were taken after Trollstice. JD, now 16 years old, has been dealing with a Troll that hurts him, taking care of his siblings, a grandma who can't walk well, and with the BroZone band. At the last BroZone concert, he messed up, sending him into a spiral.
    After that concert, he decides to leave, not because of the fight but because he's scared. After saying goodbye to Branch, he left for the Neverglades. Still on his way to the mountain trail, he found 2 wounded and unique trolls, younger than him, who will make JD understand that running away would not solve anything.
    After helping them get better, he decides to go back to the tree with his brothers and grandma and tell them the truth.
    The 2 younger trolls convince him to let them go along, even after JD explaining the danger. JD comes back home a month after leaving, with the 2 trolls, only to find out his brothers left, leaving Branch with their grandma. The presence of the 2 new trolls in the family will change things in their lives.
    JD's adventure and new meetings await for him along the way.
