One thing Elliot finds himself missing the most is silence.
He had never really appreciated it, back before—well, before. Before the quest, before the deal, before the whispers of a being older than time itself—before, silence had felt oppressive, frightening. The lack of noise used to scare him, like a blanket of anticipation—like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
He had always hated being alone, had always sought out his mother during the nights that got too quiet. He would curl up in her lap as she sang to him, brushing through his hair and holding him like the most precious thing in the world. She would rock him so, so gently, promising that she would always be there, that she would always keep him safe, and he had always wanted to believe her.

Summary
Scar is pacing. Just a bit.
His tail is lashing, his ears flat, and his nails are sharp and digging into his palms.
It's been a slow day. Nobody has come over, and they're all so busy with their own things that Scar would feel bad distracting them. So, logically, it'd be smartest for him to start working on his own projects, right?
That would probably be the smarter choice. But, instead, Scar has decided that, for no particular reason, the only way he can calm down is by walking the length of his living room over and over and over.

Grian knocks on the fence. The pandas ignore him, but Scar looks up, and-
Gods, the way he just brightens when he sees Grian, like a piece of the sun has just dropped by and complimented him. Like a shooting star has fallen into his lap and asked him what his favorite food is. Like Grian's a rainbow and an ice cream cone and a kitten, and the sight of him makes the world a thousand times brighter.
It makes Grian feel warm. And not in the, 'oh, Scar is happy, that's nice' kind of way. No, this is more of a 'holy crap, I'm blushing so hard right now' kind of way.
Scar waves excitedly, and Grian waves back, trying to keep his heart rate down.

Tommy had a secret.
Well- it sounded bad when he put it like that. So, let him backtrack.
Tommy lived a relatively normal life. He lived out by the woods, in a nice house his dad had built himself. He lived with his two older brothers- ever-annoying Wilbur and quiet Techno- and his dad, Philza Minecraft, lovingly dubbed 'Dadza'.
Despite his and Wilbur's playful arguments and the joking complains he made, Tommy was happy with his life. He... honestly? He wouldn't change a thing.
Only one issue- Tommy had magic.
