A Wenclair romance but the two are not nearly as kind as they seem to be. Content Warning!
Every even numbered chapter is written on a typewriter (guess who's :3)The way she hides something beneath the surface of her skin. Every so often I catch a glimpse. She’s more careless than she realizes, letting out a look, or avoiding a question, or her seemingly impeccable timing. It's the footnotes where you find the information, and it’s there that my real Enid lies. I think I am making progress though over the past few weeks in this hellish academy. I won’t stoop to baseless flattery, but reassuring her on a few accounts seems to be working. I don’t want the sheep, I want the wolf. I want the sly mouth dripping with honeyed lies that coaxes in the insects. Dangles them from gossamer strings in a self serving puppet show. That’s the type of person I can use to kill whoever is behind this exacting scheme. But certain aspects of her elude me still. Just how much of a facade is the act she puts on. At times it seems almost genuine. Is her acting that good, or are those inane interests truly what she enjoys?
