"For the last four years, Catra’s routine had been the same.
Every day, she woke up just after dawn; left the comfort of her own bed to go prepare food for her, her husband, and whatever guests they might have; and checked the supply of ale in the cellar.
Then, she would make sure all the mugs and glasses were clean. Once people started rolling in, usually just after noon, the bar would be wiped down and the musicians she employed would be setting up. She would make idle conversation with the others and finish cleaning up until the first groups of men looking for a drink showed up with pockets that clinked and jingled with coins, and then the rest of the night would be spent cleaning mugs and pouring ale.
Catra had resigned herself to this life with a sort of detached acceptance.
Then, a Rebellion captain walked into her establishment, and she knew instantly that something was about to change."

Summary
"Do you own real pants?" Catra can't help but ask crossly as the blonde walks up.
Adora wears shorts often to the office but today it's just absurd—they are way above her knee, the definition in her quads standing out as she bounces on her toes.
"Uh, yeah." She shoots Catra a smirk. "See something you like?"
Catra shakes her head, but she feels her cheeks burn. "Shut up." Her voice squeaks at the end of her sentence and she hates it. Adora looks delighted.
"I have a stake out later; I'm posing as a jogger." She explains as she points to her tank top and running shoes. Catra had missed those, distracted by the skin showing.
"We have clients, Adora. This is a place of business." She chastises. Mostly, she’s not sure if the cubicle residents will be able to be functional if Adora keeps parading around like this.

"So, we'll walk through some of the stuff the team found but I have something better. This is your next assignment." Glimmer pushes the folder in front of her. "It's the bitch that fucked up our last assignment. That firm has been going after too many of our targets so it's time to take out the competition."
Thank god, something productive to do and somewhere to channel her frustration with the whole mission. Adora opens the folder and stares. And stares. She then looks up at her friend and glares at her. "That's not funny, Glimmer."
She shoots Adora a confused glance. "What's not funny?"
She puts her finger on the huge printout on the front page. "That's—That's my wife!" It could be no other but Catra looking up at her, stone-cold serious in all black, looking how Adora's never seen her before.
Glimmer purses her lip. "Cute, Adora." She rolls her eyes. "That's not your wife, that's the competition. We need to take her out. She's not good for business."

Summary
“what are you doing up so late, shera?”
Adora glances at the clock on the left side of her computer screen. It’s 3:05 in the morning here, which means 9 AM on her end. She can’t pinpoint exactly when this habit started, but the time conversion happens spontaneously in her brain now, without her even noticing that she’s doing it anymore.
Hands on the keyboard, she licks her lips like she's just been caught.
