Sam looks over at him, thin eyebrows raised, eyes clear and calm. He’s not even difficult about it, doesn’t ask what Dean is after, doesn’t deny what had happened. Instead he says, very simply, “I just figure, why lie?”

Chase loses himself in thoughts of how to continue. This is a mistake, he knows it is. He's not sure if he's looking for approval, or to be turned away, or for some secret third thing. His left hand toys with the fabric of his coat at his side, right hand in a fist tight against his thigh. He comes back to himself when House snaps his fingers, making a ‘come here’ motion with his index. Chase’s feet move before his brain does.
