Michael, Will thinks. His name is Michael. It is the name of an archangel, a slayer of sin; it is a name held by a sword wielder, carried by a saint destined to cast the great deceiver back to the hell from which he spawned, but this boy, this Michael, is no slayer. He is sickly.
The nature of his name does not grant him the strength of those who have borne it before him.
